Great Britain's Jake Jarman added to his ever-growing medal collection with a silver in the men's all-around competition at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Turkey.

The 21-year-old - who won bronze in the men's team event on Tuesday - finished with 83.463 on the board, one and a half marks behind champion Adem Asil (84.965), who topped the podium in front of the home crowd.

Ukraine's Illia Kovtun scored 83.032 to win the bronze medal, while Jarman's fellow Brit Joshua Nathan placed 19th with a total of 79.033 after six pieces of apparatus.

Unsurprisingly starting with an array of phenomenal skills on floor, Jarman completed two triple-twisting double back somersaults, but he stepped out of the floor area on one of his tumbles.

Scores in the low 13s on the rings and pommel horse had Jarman down in 11th at the halfway point, but he quickly surged back up the rankings with the highest-scoring vault of the day.

Jarman took just a small hop on his three-and-a-half twisting vault to score 15.266, seeing him rise into third spot before a relatively clean parallel bars routine, albeit with a couple of minor adjustments.

Heading into the final rotation - where the majority of title contenders competed on the high bar - Jarman had surged up to second behind Turkey's Asil, with Armenian veteran Artur Davtyan in the bronze medal spot.

Jarman played it relatively safe on the high bar, but he rounded off a clean routine with a near-perfect full-twisting double back dismount, sticking the landing for a total of 13.266.

The 21-year-old's spot on the podium had already been confirmed by the time Kovtun stepped up, and the Ukrainian pushed Davtyan out of the medals with a huge 14.033 - the only gymnast to score higher than 14 in the high bar all day.

Jarman will now prepare to defend his European vault title in Sunday's individual final, while also competing for glory in the men's parallel bars final on the same day.

The European Championships continue on Friday with the women's all-around final, where GB will be represented by Georgia-Mae Fenton and world bronze medallist Jessica Gadirova.
