The United States Olympic women's gymnastics team have clinched gold at Rio 2016 as Great Britain failed to end an 88-year wait for a Games medal.
Team GB, who won bronze in Amsterdam in 1928, finished fifth to miss out in Brazil as the dominant Americans retained their title.
Led by all-round favourite Simone Biles, Team USA sealed a fifth straight global title with a total of 184.897 to compound their status as the best gymnastics ensemble in the world.
The Russian Federation, meanwhile, claimed silver with 176.688, ahead of bronze medallists China (176.003) and Japan (174.371).
