Team GB's men's handball team were defeated 41-19 by their Swedish counterparts at the Copper Box this afternoon.
The host nation were never really in contention to win the encounter, thanks largely to a 13-goal contribution from Sweden's Niclas Ekberg.
Fredrik Petersen also added eight goals for the Yellows, who are regarded as one of the favourites to win gold in London.
Their other goalscorer was Jonas Larholm, who helped himself to four strikes.
Britain managed to score 10 goals from their 42 shots. Steven Larsson bagged four, while Sebastian Prieto and Christopher Mohr claimed hat-tricks.
Next up for Britain is a match against Argentina.
