Great Britain goalkeeper Beth Storry has admitted that age was the determining factor in her decision to retire from international hockey.
The 34-year-old, who secured a bronze medal at the London 2012 Games, won 115 caps for her country during an illustrious playing career.
"It just feels like the right time. The age part is a factor - I have noticed in the past few years, my body has been hurting more and more," Storry told BBC Sport.
"But it is also about finishing on high. London was such an incredible experience I just think it is a great time to stop and enjoy what has been."
The Reading-born stopper was widely considered as one of the finest goalkeepers in the world.
