Team GB's Colin Oates has narrowly missed out on a place in the quarter-finals of the men's -66kg judo event at the European Games in Baku.
The 32-year-old was beaten by a yuko in his meeting with Portugal's Sergiu Oleinic in the round of 16.
Oleinic needed to score after giving away a shido early in the bout, and managed to secure a yuko midway through the contest, leaving Oates chasing for the final minute.
The 29-year-old will take on Nijat Shikhalizada in the last eight later today.
