Team GB's Gemma Gibbons has qualified for the final of the women's -78kg judo.
Gibbons and French world champion Audrey Tcheumeo could not be separated in regulation time but Gibbons struck with an ippon in the golden score period to guarantee at least a silver medal.
She will now face American Kayla Harrison for the gold medal.
Gibbons becomes the first Great Britan judo medallist since coach Kate Howey won silver in 2000.
