Wales have earned their second gold medal of the Commonwealth Games after Natalie Powell beat England's Gemma Gibbons in the final of the women's -78kg tournament.
Powell went on the attack straight away and was well on top of the grabs, and her early effort was rewarded with a waza-ari inside the opening minute.
Gibbons was not on form and was penalised on two occasions for dropping to the floor under pressure as her opponent continued to be on top of the contest.
The English athlete made a late challenge to get on the scoreboard, but Powell defended her lead well to take gold.
