Paul Foster has admitted that winning a gold medal on home soil is something that will 'live with him for the rest of his life'.
Team Scotland recorded a comfortable 20-3 victory against Malaysia in yesterday's final, having stormed into a 14-stone lead by the 13th end.
"To win a gold medal on your home soil is phenomenal," Foster told reporters. "It's a feeling that will live with me for the rest of my life.
Speaking of his side's strong opening to the Commonwealth Games contest, he added: "That was the start we wanted, but the score didn't reflect the game. They hung in throughout the match, but it was definitely our day."
The gold medal was Scotland's record 12th of the Games.
