Alex Marshall and Paul Foster have won Scotland's record 12th gold medal of the Commonwealth Games with an emphatic triumph over Malaysia in the men's pairs.
Marshall and Foster strolled to a 20-3 victory this afternoon to see the host nation surpass the tally of 11 golds that they won at the Melbourne Games in 2006.
Malaysia did not get on the scoreboard until the 13th end of 15 as Scotland raced into an early advantage with a single and a double, and they never took their foot off the gas at Kelvingrove.
The contest was effectively over by end 10 as Scotland opened up a 14-stone margin which they continued to extend, unanswered by their opponents until the third to last end.
Malaysia salvaged themselves some pride with 3 shots over the final three ends, but that did not hide the fact that they were comprehensively beaten by Scotland's record breakers in Glasgow.
