World Superbike rider Loris Baz has confirmed his move to MotoGP by signing to Forward Yamaha for the 2015 season.
The Frenchman, who is currently fifth in WSBK, was rumoured to have been wanted by Aspar Honda, but the team are said to have had concerns that he was too tall to ride for them.
Forward Racing team boss Giovanni Cuzari is quoted by Autosport.com as saying: "He is a young rider who has proved to be fast in World Superbikes and we would like to give him the possibility to show his talent also in MotoGP.
"I'm very happy to start this new adventure with Loris and bring this new rider in the premier class, continuing our mission of talent scout team alongside Yamaha."
Baz is the second World Superbike rider to move to MotoGP in the last few days following Aspar's capture of Eugene Laverty.
