McLaren Formula 1 driver Jenson Button has paid tribute to IndyCar racer Justin Wilson following the British sportsman's death.
The 37-year-old passed away in hospital in Pennsylvania on Tuesday.
The Brit suffered a serious head injury when he was hit by a piece of debris after a car crashed in front of him at Pocono Raceway on Sunday.
Upon hearing the news, Button, who knew Wilson during his karting days, took to Twitter to pay tribute.
The 35-year-old wrote: "The motorsport World comes 2 a standstill once again. @justin_wilson was a great person & racing driver. My thoughts are with his family RIP. I raced with Justin as far back as 1989 in Karting and remember his smile was infectious, such a lovely guy. #RIPJustin"
