Today's Malaysian Moto GP has been cancelled following a serious crash involving Honda rider Marco Simoncelli.
The race was stopped on the second lap after Simoncelli fell and was then hit by Valentino Rossi and Colin Edwards.
The Italian lay motionless on the track after the incident, in which his helmet was knocked off.
Simoncelli lowsided at turn 11 before regaining partial grip, but was pulled straight into the path of Edwards and Rossi.
The race was immediately red flagged following the crash, from which Edwards and Rossi emerged unhurt.
