Valentino Rossi dismisses reports that he will retire from MotoGP at the end of the season.

Valentino Rossi has dismissed speculation that he is ready to retire from MotoGP at the end of the current season.

Recent reports had claimed that the nine-time world champion had lost his appetite for the sport.

However, the Italian has revealed that he has no intention of calling time on his career just yet.

"The rumours about my retirement at the end of the year are not true!," the 33-year-old wrote on Twitter.

Rossi is currently ninth in the MotoGP standings after three races.
