Former Formula 1 driver Timo Glock has switched to the DTM racing series by signing a deal with BMW.
The 30-year-old was forced to part company with Marussia earlier this week due to the team's financial issues, but Glock has since moved on to become BMW's eighth driver for the new season.
"It is very exciting for me to drive for BMW again after all these years and in such a top-class racing series as the DTM," said Glock.
"I had a fantastic time in Formula 1 but am now looking forward to battling for victories again with my old friends at BMW Motorsport. That is the approach I shall be taking to the challenge of the DTM."
It has not been confirmed which one out of four BMW teams Glock will be racing for.
