Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has reportedly been contacted by police following allegations that he hit a photographer with his car.
The German international, who moved to the Gunners from Real Madrid last summer, has been under scrutiny for his performances on the pitch.
However, his life away from the pitch has made the headlines with allegations surfacing that a photographer was struck on the arm by Ozil's car in North London.
According to the Daily Star, Haringey police officers and an ambulance went to the scene, while the authorities also visited Ozil on Friday evening.
A Metropolitan Police spokesman is quoted as saying: "Police received a call at 19.18 on Friday 21 February following an alleged collision between a vehicle and a member of the public.
"The member of the public suffered minor injuries. Officers have spoken to the driver and enquiries continue. No arrests have been made."
It has been alleged that Ozil kept driving after he hit the photographer.
