Former Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has revealed that he was once hit by coins thrown by a group of Arsenal supporters.
The 68-year-old, who has been out of work since leaving Queens Park Rangers in February, recalled the experience during an appearance on The Fantasy Football Club on Sky Sports.
Redknapp claimed that he received a warm welcome from Gunners fans at the Emirates, but a group of men drinking at a pub nearby were less than friendly when the coach left the ground.
"I come out and had a couple of pictures in my car with the lads who come over - they were Arsenal fans," said Redknapp.
"Suddenly about 15 blokes outside of a pub there go off and I'm stuck in the traffic. They see me and bang, [they start] throwing coins and giving me abuse.
"You know it's unreal. It's always the small minority so they can spoil it for the rest and that for me is a big problem."
Redknapp spent four years as Spurs manager.
