Atletico Madrid forward Angel Correa's heart surgery has been deemed "a complete success".
The 19-year-old recently signed a five-year deal with the La Liga champions after leaving Argentine outfit San Lorenzo.
However, a problem with the player's heart was detected during his routine medical, with Atletico revealing that the teenager would need surgery to correct the issue.
According to Marca, the operation took place in New York yesterday, with the report claiming that the surgery was "a complete success".
It is currently unclear if the striker will be ready to join up with his new teammates for pre-season training next month.
