Australia batsman Chris Rogers has said that he has "learnt a lesson" after coming in for criticism for selling hospitality tickets for an Ashes Test.
The 37-year-old's company Inside Edge Experience bought 10 tickets for the Lord's Test intended for friends and family of the cricketer for £110 each, reselling them for up to £2,910.
A spokesperson for Middlesex told EPSN: "They shouldn't have done this. We have a great relationship with our landlords, the MCC, and the last thing we would want to do is jeopardise that.
"These tickets are meant for family and friends and there has been some naive thinking if anyone thinks they can sell them on. It shouldn't happen and we will have to ensure it doesn't happen again."
Meanwhile, the Daily Mail quotes the batsman as saying: "I've probably learnt a lesson. There was no intent to deceive or anything like that. I'll look back at it and be disappointed how a few things have turned out."
The first Test gets underway in Cardiff next month.
