Cricket commentator Richie Benaud has revealed that he is undergoing radiation treatment for skin cancer.
The former Australia cricket captain said that he is tolerating the therapy well and his doctors are pleased with the results so far.
"I'm coping with it very well - the doctors are pleased," he told Australian broadcaster Channel Nine.
"I recommend to everyone they wear protection on their heads. Eighty-four-year-olds don't seem to mend as well as they used to.
"When I was a kid, we never ever wore a cap. I wish I had. You live and learn as you go along."
The 84-year-old, who is still recovering from injuries sustained in a car collision one year ago, will return to his commentating duties in January.
