Nick Matthew has been selected to lead Team England into the 2014 Commonwealth Games after being nominated as flag bearer by his teammates.
The 33-year-old, who is to defend two Commonwealth titles in Glasgow, will walk his country out at tomorrow night's opening ceremony at Celtic Park.
Matthew won gold in the singles and doubles squash events in Delhi four years ago, before picking up his maiden World Open title and topping the world rankings in the process.
He will become the second Yorkshireman to carry the flag at the showpiece event, following on from Karen Briggs in 1990.
