Fulham have revealed details of a proposal to begin work on an expansion to Craven Cottage by May next year.
The West London club, who secured planning permission for the build in 2013, have planned to add almost 4,000 seats to the stadium by demolishing the Riverside Stand and rebuilding with two more tiers of seating.
Also proposed is a walkway across the River Thames, which would open a currently closed section of the riverbank.
The planned expansion follows the successful move by West Ham United to the London Stadium, while Tottenham Hotspur's new stadium is currently under construction.
Should Fulham receive permission from Hammersmith and Fulham council to begin the work, the club are hopeful of finishing the expansion by 2021.
