Leicester City fans have protested at the decision to move the date of their upcoming trip to Arsenal in order to accommodate TV broadcasting.

Earlier this week Sky announced that it had selected the clash at the Emirates for broadcast on Sky Sports, necessitating a change from its original date of Saturday, February 13 at 3pm to Sunday, February 14 at midday.

Typically Sky makes its selections around six weeks ahead of fixtures but made the late addition after realising its importance in the race for the title.

A statement from the Premier League said: "We always seek to give fans a minimum of six weeks' notice of any fixture changes. It is only on extremely rare occasions we don't meet that aspiration during the normal course of the season.

"We are currently in discussions with Arsenal and Leicester City to see what can be done to help fans affected by this scheduling change."

Fans unfurled banners protesting the change at the King Power during Saturday's 3-0 win over Stoke City, with one reading: "$ky... 23 days is no notice."

Day return train tickets from Leicester to London typically cost between £50 and £75.
