John Barnes has been confirmed as one of the contestants to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house on Friday.
The reality TV show started on Tuesday night with eight female contestants going into the famous house, but they will be joined by a number of males later this week.
On spinoff show Big Brother's Bit on the Side, presenter Rylan Clark-Neal revealed that former Liverpool and England star Barnes would be making an appearance.
Clark-Neal told viewers: "As you know, Friday night, the house will receive some gentlemen. Tonight, I can reveal that one of those very men, will be Liverpool legend and rap superstar John Barnes is going in the house!"
Barnes enjoyed a stellar career in British football, with the majority of his 781 appearances being played at either Watford or Liverpool between 1981 and 1997.
The 54-year-old also scored 11 goals in 79 appearances for England.
