Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard was reportedly confronted by a man in a bar while celebrating his testimonial last month.
The 33-year-old is said to have been spending time with friends and family in the Woodwards bar near his home in Formby when he was approached by a man shouting angrily at the England skipper.
Gerrard did not react to the man's comments, but his friends got involved in a heated exchange with the punter, according to the Daily Star.
The news comes after reports last week claimed that Gerrard was the subject of death threats at Liverpool's training ground.
