Liverpool midfielder Adam Lallana has expressed his admiration for the members of Merseyside Blind FC following a recent training session with the players.
Last week, Lallana joined teammates Steven Gerrard, Simon Mignolet and Mamadou Sakho at Melwood to try out some skills while blindfolded.
"The quality of them considering they have got no sight is phenomenal," Lallana told the club's official website. "They pick up on the sound of the ball and communicate verbally in and among each other, which makes it a lot easier. It's a great charity. It's always nice to give back."
Against Tottenham Hotspur tonight, the Liverpool team will wear the 'Seeing is Believing' logo on their shirts to promote the charitable campaign, which aims to tackle avoidable blindness.
