Liverpool striker Luis Suarez is critical of British Prime Minister David Cameron for comments attributed to him over the Uruguayan's 10-match ban.

Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has criticised British Prime Minister David Cameron for comments attributed to him over the Uruguayan's 10-match ban.

Suarez was given the suspension for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic's arm during their 2-2 draw in April and Cameron claimed at the time that the player was not setting a good example to the children who support him.

"I have a seven-year-old son who loves football, loves watching football and when players behave like this, it sets the most appalling example to young people in our country," Cameron told the BBC last month.

However, the Reds forward has hit back at Cameron by telling him to worry about his own conduct towards British citizens.

"David Cameron said I wasn't an example for the kids or something like that," The People quotes Suarez as saying.

"Why don't you worry about English citizens? He should care for English people, he should try to do his job. I won't ask for more forgiveness.

"I have lived bad moments, and I'm a human being, you know. I have feelings. I'm angry with the English media, as they have never valued me as a footballer."

Suarez scored 30 goals in 44 appearances for the Reds last season.
