Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet has jokingly apologised to teammate Daniel Agger's wife after he accidentally gave the defender a black eye.
The shot-stopper punched Agger in the face while attempting to clear a corner during Liverpool's 3-0 win over Manchester United on Sunday.
After the match, Agger posted an image of his black eye on Twitter, with the message: "Great game, great atmosphere!! Hardcore keeper.. With friends like that, who needs enemies?"
Mignolet replied by tweeting: "My sincere apologies also to the wife!"
