Premier League clubs are set to push for changes to the transfer window next month amid ongoing uncertainty over players' futures, according to a report.
Top-flight clubs voted in 2017 to end the summer transfer window before the start of the season, but other teams around Europe are free to make alterations to their squad for a while longer.
According to The Telegraph, many top-six clubs are unhappy with the early closure, with those sides set to bring the issue up at a meeting of Premier League shareholders on September 12.
The newspaper adds that clubs are keen to revert to the old system, where clubs could do business until the end of August, or bring the European transfer deadline forward.
The differences between the two systems has meant that the futures of Premier League stars such as Christian Eriksen remain uncertain, with the Danish international linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain.
Clubs around Europe have until September 2 to finalise business, with the transfer window closing for British teams on August 8.
