Former Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher has said that he wants to be adopted by Manuel Pellegrini after Manchester City were crowned Premier League champions.
The Chilean, who took over at the Etihad Stadium at the end of last season, guided the club to their second title in three campaigns following yesterday's 2-0 win over West Ham United.
Ahead of kickoff, the singer, who is a lifelong fan of the club, told Metro: "I'm buzzing for it. We just need to play our game and we're there. I feel alright, we're going to do it.
"I hope it's not like two years ago. That was a nightmare but it was good. Manuel Pellegrini's beautiful, I love him. I want him to adopt me."
Gallagher attended the team's title party with the players at Manchester Town Hall last night.
