Manchester United legend Sir Bobby Charlton has received a lifetime achievement award by the Torch Trophy Trust for his services to sport.
The United director was handed the honour at the Royal Army and Navy Club in London this week by Princess Royal Anne.
Charlton, who joined the North-West football club back in 1953, became president of the Torch Trophy Trust, which is charity that recognises volunteers in sport, in 1999.
Winter Olympic champion Lizzy Yarnold was also honoured at the ceremony in the capital.
