Rio Ferdinand reunited with former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson while at Old Trafford for the team's Champions League action on Tuesday.

The ex-United defender, who retired from football at the end of last season, was part of the BT Sport panel for their coverage of the Red Devils' 3-1 win over Club Brugge.

Before going live on air, Ferdinand, who was signed by Ferguson back in 2002, bumped into the Scotsman in the Old Trafford tunnel.

Alongside an Instagram snap of the encounter, Ferdinand wrote: "Good to see the gaffer before the match yesterday! #SirAlex."
