Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson and retired footballer David Beckham have appeared in the 75th anniversary issue of comic book The Beano.
The pair have been immortalised in the strip for a special edition of 'Dennis the Menace and Gnasher and David Beckham' from publishers DC Thomson.
"David Beckham features quite a lot in the anniversary issue and I think that the strip with David Beckham and Sir Alex Ferguson is brilliant," the Manchester Evening News quotes The Beano editor-in-chief Mike Stirling as saying.
"Dennis is up to his usual menacing and the results are hilarious. It pokes fun at their history in a lighthearted way and, of course, it's all meant in jest."
During the story, Beckham moves to Beanotown and ends up moving into a home next door to Ferguson, whom the midfielder played under for 10 years at Old Trafford.
