Film producer Stephen Evans has revealed that he wants a young footballer to play Manchester United legend George Best in a movie about the Irishman's life.
Evans, who was behind the biopic of late golfer Seve Ballesteros, is planning to visit various football academies to find a youngster who can play a 15-year-old Best.
"What we want is a good-looking, spindly, cheeky chappy," The Sunday Times quotes Evans as saying.
"The only man who could play Best in adulthood, and match his resolute intensity wit and charisma of George himself. Any other actor would fall woefully short, above all, during any footballing sequences."
Best, who struggled with alcoholism in his later years, died of a lung infection and multiple organ failure in 2005 at the age of 59.
