Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed allegations of tax evasion, insisting that he has "nothing to hide".
The Portuguese coach, as well as Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo, has been accused of being part of their agent Jorge Mendes's multi-million euro tax avoidance scheme.
A host of European media outlets reported last week that Mourinho and Ronaldo have allegedly hidden up to €150m in tax havens based in Switzerland and the British Virgin Islands.
A piece in the Sunday Times has claimed that the United manager could be part of a criminal investigation.
"I have lodged the documents in Italy, Spain and England. I have nothing to hide," the Daily Mail quotes Mourinho as saying. "They prove that I have done nothing wrong."
Meanwhile, Mourinho has managed to guide the Red Devils to just two wins in 11 Premier League matches following Sunday's 1-1 draw with Everton at Goodison Park.
