Manchester United manager David Moyes has likened the reception his side were given at Bangkok airport to that of a famous pop group.
Thousands of fans greeted the United players as they arrived in Bangkok for the start of their pre-season tour of Asia, which begins with a match against Singha All Stars tomorrow night.
"When we arrived at the airport there were lots of screaming young ladies," Moyes told reporters.
"I don't think it was for me but it was like some famous pop group arriving. It was incredible. We were taken on to pay respects to the king, who is in hospital just now.
"It was pandemonium when we got there. I have not been surprised but the scale of things has been fantastic."
Meanwhile, Moyes has reiterated that striker Wayne Rooney is not for sale.
