Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville reportedly arranges for the homeless people staying in his Stock Exchange building to get support.

Former Manchester United captain Gary Neville has signed an agreement with council chiefs and a social housing provider to offer support to the homeless people that are staying in his building.

Neville and former teammate Ryan Giggs own the city's old Stock Exchange building after they purchased it for £1.5m in 2013.

The pair have allowed a group of homeless people to stay in the building before construction of their hotel begins in February.

Now, Neville has helped arrange for Riverside Care and Support to visit the group on a regular basis and provide help for issues including mental health and drug and alcohol abuse, as well as helping them find temporary accommodation, according to the Manchester Evening News.

"Nobody should be sleeping on the street," Neville is quoted as saying. "We will work with the council and Riverside offering support and services with the ultimate goal of providing a roof over the heads of the people in the Stock Exchange."

Neville and Giggs plan to turn the building into a luxury hotel.
