Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has apologised to his wife Truus's hairdresser after his side executed an emphatic victory over local rivals Manchester City on Sunday.
The Red Devils sealed a 4-2 triumph at Old Trafford, which wouldn't have been warmly welcomed by hairdresser Dawn.
The Dutchman revealed in his pre-match press conference that Dawn supports the blue half of the city, and after the game, the manager decided to apologise to her on MUTV.
Van Gaal said to camera: "I'm sorry for you Dawn, but we have to win and we were the better team today."
United are currently third in the Premier League table, four points above City.
