Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney has revealed that he would consider auditioning for The X Factor when his football career comes to an end.
The England captain has tried to showcase his musical talent by singing with popstar Ed Sheeran and taking control of the karaoke at United's Christmas party last year.
During The Big United Quiz 2015, Rooney, who was on a panel with teammate Juan Mata and comedian Justin Moorhouse, was voted by fans as the player that they would expect to win the ITV talent show, as well as I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here.
The quiz show, which was hosted by Angus Deayton, had an opposing panel consisting of United assistant boss Ryan Giggs, actor Andrew Whyment and rapper Tinchy Stryder.
When asked by Deayton if he would consider going on either The X Factor or I'm A Celeb, Rooney said: "Maybe when I've finished playing I would like to do something with X Factor."
