McLaren Formula 1 driver Jenson Button has written an emotional tribute on Twitter to his late father.
John Button passed away last week from a suspected heart attack at the age of 70.
The racing driver's father was found in his house on the French Riviera by a friend on Sunday.
After a flood of tributes from figures within Formula 1, Button has taken to Twitter to pay his respects. He wrote: "Papa you cannot believe how very proud I feel to be able to call you my Dad. I love you Papa Smurf, you'll forever be in my heart.
"Rest in Peace with the Angels. Your son XXXX."
Three-time world champion Jackie Stewart has claimed that Button's mentality will not be affected by his father's passing.
