Former NFL safety Darren Sharper has had the sexual assault cases against him in Miami dropped due to insufficient evidence.
Sharper had been accused of sexually assaulting a woman in his condo on September 27 after she had become highly intoxicated and passed out.
The woman did not report the incident until January, eventually coming forward after seeing Sharper facing similar charges in a Los Angeles case.
However, Miami Beach police have revealed that the investigation found no physical evidence, no corroborating witnesses and inconsistent statements from the accuser.
Sharper does still face alleged sexual assault cases in Louisiana, Arizona and Nevada, although he denies the accusations.
The 38-year-old was a five-time Pro Bowler and one-time Super Bowl champion during an illustrious 14-year career with the Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints.
