Amazon is reportedly gearing up to enter the bidding for the next set of Premier League TV rights later this year.
The rights - covering the three seasons from 2019-20 - will see the number of games made available for live broadcast in the UK increased significantly from 168 to at least 190 per season.
Sky and BT currently share the UK rights, with the former holding the lion's share, under an agreement which saw them pay a combined £5.14 billion in the last auction.
According to the Daily Mail, there have been "positive noises from Amazon Prime's Seattle headquarters" that the digital broadcaster is preparing to enter the fray and bid for some of the games.
Amazon recently poached the rights to broadcast men's tennis from Sky in a new deal due to start next year.
