A bookmaker has started offering odds of 25/1 that next month's Cheltenham Festival will be abandoned because of the weather.
As well as the possibility of a washout, William Hill are taking bets at 7/1 that at least one of the days will be disrupted.
Company spokeman Jon Ivan-Duke told The Mirror: "Cheltenham Festival is the pinnacle of National Hunt racing and it's the biggest four days of the year for bookmakers, so we have everything crossed that it takes place."
In 2008, the second day of the event had to be called off because of high winds at the racecourse.
