Professional Game Match Officials Limited (PGMOL) announced today that Premier League referee Mark Clattenburg has ended his association with football agency Catalyst4Soccer.
Last week it was reported that PGMOL had launched an investigation after Catalyst4Soccer sent a tweet confirming Clattenburg as a new client.
Although Clattenburg, 40, was initially given permission by PGMOL to sign with the agency, it was soon revealed that the management company also represents players.
According to PA, Clattenburg met with head of PGMOL Mike Riley yesterday and informed him that he was no longer a client of Calalyst4Soccer.
"Mark has decided not to work with the agency and as far as PGMOL is concerned that is the end of the matter," read a statement issued by the PGMOL.
Clattenberg is due to be fourth official during Saturday's Premier League fixture between Watford and Bournemouth before refereeing Leicester City versus West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday.
