Dorchester Town manager Phil Simkin could be forced to name himself as a substitute for this weekend's clash with Dover Town due to the club's financial crisis.

The Conference South outfit has placed every player on its books for sale after incurring debts of more than £150,000.

"I will be registering as a player so that we have a full bench," the 60-year-old coach told BBC Sport.

"Quite frankly I don't know what players will still be here on Thursday for selection against Dover. One way or another we need to put a team out. It's been very difficult."

Dorchester reached the second round of the FA Cup last season with a 1-0 win over Plymouth Argyle, earning £50,000 in the process, but have since fallen into financial turmoil.

The club crashed out of this season's FA Cup in the second qualifying round, losing to Shortwood United.
