A male journalist reportedly dressed up as a priest in a bid to gain access to Michael Schumacher's hospital room.
The seven-time world champion was hopitalised on Sunday following an accident while skiing, which has left him fighting for his life. He has been placed in a medically-induced coma as doctors attempt to alleviate the swelling on his brain.
The press have been provided with daily updates regarding the German's condition, but one reporter attempted to gain further information in the guise of a priest.
"Apparently a journalist dressed as a priest had tried to gain access to Michael's room," Schumacher's manager Sabine Kehm told Die Welt. "I wouldn't have ever imagined something like this could happen."
It has since been reported that the alleged offender was removed from the facility by security, but no arrest was made.
