David Beckham has reportedly approached basketball star LeBron James about becoming a stakeholder in the MLS franchise that he is planning to set up in Miami.
The 28-year-old from Ohio, who was the driving force behind Miami Heat's successful NBA Championship last season, already owns shares in Premier League side Liverpool and could take up a similar role with Beckham's setup.
According to the Daily Mail, there have been informal discussions between the two parties, with the former England international's business representatives keen to secure one of the biggest names in American sport.
If all goes well, then the deal will be announced next year.
