Former boxing promoter Kellie Maloney has insisted that she will not be affected by any negative comments relating to her sex change.
The retired boxing manager, who was born as Frank, revealed last weekend that she has been living as a woman for the last year and is undergoing gender reassignment.
Maloney, who used to work with former world heavyweight champion Lennox Lewis, has received widespread support, but insists that she will not take any notice of those ridiculing her choice.
"I received so many [negative comments] in my boxing business they'd just be like water off a duck's back now to me," Maloney told ITV's Good Morning Britain. "Really, that life has prepared me for this transition."
Maloney worked as Lewis's manager between 1989 and 2001.
