Former boxing promoter Kellie Maloney has revealed that she wants to run for mayor of London again following her sex change.
The 62-year-old, who spent £100,000 on becoming a transgender woman this year, previously campaigned for the role in 2004 when she was Frank.
The promoter was criticised by gay rights activists 11 years ago after he refused to take his election campaign to Camden because there were "too many gays".
"I would love to stand for the mayor of London again," Maloney told the Daily Star. "It was one of the most exciting times of my life. I think after everything I have been through I would be a lot more equipped for the job.
"I would consider running as Independent if I can raise the finance. I'm a socialist at heart who believes you should work hard for a living."
Maloney used to represent British boxer Lennox Lewis.
