A new musical centred around the life of former Australia cricketer Shane Warne is due to debut in Melbourne.
The production was originally created in 2008, but has since been updated for audiences to incorporate the 43-year-old's retirement from cricket and relationship with actress Elizabeth Hurley.
"Shane was okay with the show the first time around, but he knows that this chapter of his life is in the show and he has no idea how we're handling it," the Daily Mail quotes Eddie Perfect, who created the show in which he stars as Warne, as saying.
"My satirical approach to the entire show has stayed the same. It's not about the truth, it's about perception, and how that perception gets distorted and amplified by the media and their relationship with the media."
Lisa McCune plays Simone Warne, while Christie Whelan Brown takes the role of Hurley.
