Paralympic sprinter Alan Oliveira has expressed his 'shock and sadness' at the murder storm surrounding rival Oscar Pistorius.
Brazilian Oliveira made the headlines when Pistorius accused the runner of having the wrong-sized blades when he defeated the South African in the 200m finals in London last summer.
Since then, the double amputee has been charged with the premeditated murder of his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp in his home in Pretoria.
"I was sleeping and got woken up by a friend calling me to say what had happened," Oliveira told The Telegraph. "I went on the internet to find out more about it, and I was very shocked and sad, and didn't believe it at first."
Pistorius's lawyers have attempted to challenge the 26-year-old's bail conditions.
